Sound Experience

A program designed to help students experience the sounds of the English languages thorough a multi-modality approach incorporating all the senses. New processing techniques and the use of humor enhance the creative learning channels and make the experience delightful and fun. Diverse memory games are used to reinforce memorization of the sounds. Each character of the program is a food; the ultimate reinforcement to learning the sound is to "eat a word". The students soon come to know and love each sound. Games, such as charading a word, are fun for the child and also offer a strong reinforcement to learning the sounds. When all the characters are learned. the children will recognize the treasure as their ability to read or write most words in the English language. We look forward to a day in the not too distant future when all children will succeed in learning to read in order to establish that firm foundation for a lifetime of educational success.
